STAMPEX
2010 is a Half National Philatelic Exhibition with a range of FIP/APF classes
on offer. There will be 350 frames of competitive exhibits including National
Level Picture Postcard exhibits.

All
dealers must be set-up to commence trading by 10:00am on Friday and must not
commence break-down until 4:00pm on Sunday. Dealers will be allowed into the
hall from 9:00am on Saturday and Sunday to prepare for trading to commence at
10:00am. No entry to the venue allowed outside of these hours.
There
are 16 dealer booths available each costing $800 (no GST payable) with no
differentiation for location ("first in best dressed"). Un-allocated
booths will be offered to non-members from 20 May 2010.
All dealer stands are corner booths consisting of three 6 foot trestle tables plus small back table. APTA will provide each booth with tablecloths, two lamps and power leads, the cost of which is included in the booth price. Perspex Sheets and Security Cabinets may be ordered at additional cost through APTA (see application form for details).
No
dealer stands have to date been booked, so it is still “first in best dressed”.

in the Exhibition Catalogue is available as follows –

note that the Back Page and Inside Front Page have been reserved for a
Catalogue Sponsor. Camera-ready copy to be provided to Stampex Secretary by the end of June 2010 at the latest.
Car Parking
Car
Parking for Dealers will be available on the Torrens Parade Ground immediately
outside the entrance to the venue. Entrance will be via Victoria Drive (see
map). No payment is required.
Adelaide
Stampex 2010 will be arranging overnight Security with the venue owners. The
venue is also on a monitored alarm system. This security is external to the
building as the venue will be locked and alarmed.
Australia
Post will be in attendance selling a full range of products and special
postmarkers have been designed for use on each day of the Exhibition. APF
Archival Products will be in attendance and the STAMPEX Committee is producing
a variety of philatelic souvenirs (list & order form to be placed on the
APF web site at www.apf.org.au
To
enlarge the mailing list for future APTA shows, six $50.00 APTA gift vouchers
will be offered as door prizes, two to be drawn on each day of the show. To
enter the draw for these prizes, entrants to the show must complete an entry
form with their name, address and contact details. APTA will reimburse any
dealer who accepts these gift vouchers.
STAMPEX
2010 has a substantial advertising & publicity budget. This is expected to
involve Newspaper Advertising (daily Advertiser newspaper & local Messenger
newspapers), "What's On" listings, Radio spots, Stamp News (2 half
page adverts), Australian Stamps Professional, Australia Post Bulletin, SAPC
News, NAPE, APF Web Site, Stampex 2010 website, Adelaide City Council website, Corflute
Signage on numerous street corners in the Adelaide Metropolitan area plus large
vinyl banners on the Adelaide GPO in the weeks leading up to the Exhibition.
The
SAPC will be providing a catering service for dealers, collectors and the
general public in the hall. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, soup, sandwiches, hot
food and cakes will be provided within the hall during opening hours from the
catering area (bottom right on floor plan).
Accommodation
The
Organising Committee has made arrangements with the Country Comfort Adelaide,
208 South Terrace, Adelaide. Ten (10) Motel rooms have been reserved for
Dealers. The Hotel is within a 30 minute walk of the Drill Hall or a FREE ride
on the tram followed by a five minute walk (see map). The Country Comfort Adelaide
is offering Dealers special rates for the show –
Twin Bed & Breakfast rate $127 per night Double also available
Room only $89 per night
Cooked Breakfast $19 per person

a “STAMPEX 2010” motel booking. Note –
Block booking cut-off date is 12 August 2010.
Palmares
Dinner
This
will be held on Saturday 21st August, 6.30pm for 7.00pm (venue
currently being finalised). Cost will be $65.00 per head which includes a
pre-dinner drink and three course meal (with choices). Extra drinks will be at
your own expense. Please indicate the number of tickets required on the
attached Stand Application Form.

1)
Stands will be allocated on a
first paid basis.
2)
Any stand holders still owing stand fees may not move
material in until full payment has been made.
3) All
applications are subject to approval by the Executive Committee of APTA and the
Show Organising Committee, who reserve the right to refuse any application
without disclosing the reason(s) for such refusal.
4) No smoking
allowed inside the venue.
5) Stand holder
passes are required to be worn at all times.
6) Stand fees are not refundable.
7) Stand holders are liable for any damage they or any staff
members cause (or allow to be caused) to the stand, furnishings and/or the
venue.
8) Stand holders must present a clean and tidy professional
appearance at all times. Any stand holder who does not present themselves in a
professional and/or clean and tidy manner will be asked to leave. No refund
will be available to any stand holder expelled for these reasons.
9) Stands must be open and operational at all of the advertised
times of the show. Stand holders must be ready for trading no later than 5
minutes before the doors open. No material may be moved into or out of the hall
during opening hours of the show.
10) Stand holders must limit their activities to the buying, selling
and promotion of philatelic, numismatic and related material.
11) Counterfeit, forged or otherwise altered material must not
be displayed or sold unless clearly and correctly identified as such.
12) Stand holders must vacate the hall within 30 minutes of the
published closing times on the Friday and Saturday. Any venue charges incurred
caused by a stand holder breaching these times will be paid in full by the
stand holder/s involved.
13) Stand holders are responsible for moving their goods in and
out of the hall. At no time may they use the staff or equipment of the venue
for this purpose.
14) If a stand holder violates any of these rules or any
directions given by the APTA Executive Committee, Show Organising Committee
and/or venue management, they may be asked to vacate their stand immediately,
forfeit their stand fees and be subject to any disciplinary action which may be
considered appropriate by the APTA Executive Committee.
